The Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies joins 80 organizations participating in China Town Hall 2021 by the National Committee on US-China Relations. These events are meant to engage communities in a national conversation on how the U.S.-China relationship affects American cities, towns, and communities. From supply chains to national security, new technologies to climate change, the future of both countries will be determined by their relations with one another and the global community.
The Town Hall has two components with two separate web links: A livestream by CNN's Fareed Zakaria from 7-8 p.m. EDT (register at https://www.tfaforms.com/4922045) and a follow-up conversation by three Liu Institute faculty fellows, who will discuss Zakaria's talk with our virtual audience from 8 to 9 p.m. EDT.
Liu Institute participants are Kyle Jaros, associate professor of global affairs at Notre Dame's Keough School of Global Affairs and fellow of the Public Intellectuals Program for the National Committee on US-China Relations; Iris Ma, assistant dean for academic affairs and assistant advising professor for the Keough School; and Jonathan Noble, interim director for the Liu Institute and ND's senior assistant provost for internationalization.
Please note that this Zoom registration is only for the Liu Institute event. To register for Zakaria's livestream at 7 p.m. EDT, please visit https://www.tfaforms.com/4922045
